So at the beginning of the New Year, many people decide that they will start to exercise and eat healthier. But a lot of times most of them quit after a month because their goals are too high and they lost motivation to continue. So my advice would be that you set yourself realistic goals that you know you can stick to.
GET MORE QUALITY SLEEP – AT LEAST 8 HOURS
We all know that sleep is very important for regeneration, muscle recovery and growth. Professor Michael Colgan went as far as to say: even if your training and nutrition program can straight for the mouth of God Almighty, without adequate rest your body will fail to adapt. So go get that quality sleep and grow!
DRINK MORE WATER – STAY HYDRATED
Drinking water is one of the most undervalued variables in the quest for living a healthy life. Many people don’t drink enough water during the day and therefore do not meet the recommended daily intake. The human body is between 60-70% water. Sings of dehydration may become apparent with only a 2% drop in water! Dehydration may occur your performance, you could suffer from daytime fatigue, headache, sore joints or dry mouth. So I would recommend having some kind of a bottle of water with you all the time.
START YOUR DAY WITH HIGH-PROTEIN BREAKFAST
Eating high-protein breakfast will make you less hungry later in the day because high protein meals release ghrelin, a hunger hormone that increases your feelings of satiety and fullness. Feeling fuller during the day will more likely make you choose healthier food. When you consume high-protein sources, you also take in other nutrients like iron, vitamin C, calcium and fiber depending on what type of protein source you eat. While a high-protein breakfast offers a number of health benefits, it is important to choose high-protein options that do not contain excess fat.
If you are looking to burn some belly fat, adding 20 minutes of walking to your day can help you shrink your waistline and burn off some extra calories. Walking even improves your memory and can increase your energy. So instead of using your car just go for a walk.
EXERCISE AT LEAST 2 TIMES A WEEK
We all know it is not always easy to find time to exercise but don’t worry even twice a week can help you get fit. Just make sure you are consistent and always give your best!
WORK ON YOUR WEAKNESSES
Many times we try to avoid the things we are not good at but by doing that we will never improve. But by improving on those things you will see even better results in things that you are already good at. So try to force yourself into doing things you don’t enjoy that much or you suffer to succeed at first. Just stay patient and believe in yourself. You may even end up loving it!
“People that get a little better train their strengths, people that see dramatic gains train their weaknesses.”
START COOKING YOUR OWN FOOD
You’ll always know what you’re eating and how much, and that is really important if you are trying to lose that belly fat you’ve been struggling with. It can even save you a lot of money and time once you get the hang of it. You’d be surprised how fast can you actually make some healthy delicious meals.
REDUCE YOUR SUGAR INTAKE – YOU’RE SWEET ENOUGH ALREADY!
No more sugar belly! For many of you, this one is the hardest but the benefits of it are so good that you will stick to it. You will lose weight way faster especially belly fat, your skin will look younger and you can reduce visible signs of aging. You will start to feel more energized and your heart will be in better shape!
And that is it, I think these 8 New Year resolutions are not that hard to stick to you will only need some dedication and organization to achieve them. Stay positive and never give up even when it’s hard you must believe in yourself and keep on grinding because remember why you started in the first place. Twelve months from now you will be amazed how much you have changed and grown as a person. Results will come I promise you that!
Thanks for reading this blog and I hope you will make it! I wish you all a happy New Year and a lot of success in 2018!
